Season

Season

Season Cases packed and out for 06.30. slight panic that they go to the right Bus.  Sorted, I go for a stroll down to the Spar to take some pics.  C rings to find out where I am.
Breakfast at 9.00 and pile into the bus for 10.00 to return home.  We stop in Beverley, with time enough to get scran and a drink but not enough time to do anything like visit the Minster. C is livid.  I’m a little more chilled but I’ve been to Beverley before.  Pint then into a bakery for a sausage roll for C and Bacon, Cheese and Leek pastie for me.
Remount the bus and off we go, weather is foul, roadworks everywhere, C gets a bit stressed about us arriving at the interchange in time to catch the feeder coach. We get back to Burtonwood at around 16:15.  Half an hour an we get on the feeder and wonder of wonders we’re first drop. Back home, light shop and then Mr. Krispy shared kebab for tea.  Nice.

A Favourite Place

A Favourite Place

A Favourite PlaceAn early start and it’s into Wigan in search of today’s photo.  Return to the big giant head!

Arrived a t’mill and was first in, sorted my shit and chilled.  Not a great day tbh, 1-2-1 with Jess pm.  It was ok.

Home to tea and Carry On movies.  Could be worse.  Now off till Sunday next week and can chill for a bit.

Still feeling a bit down.

Solo

Solo

SoloBeen a bit of a bizarre day tbh.  Up and out early, off to Wigan to capture some images.  Still playing catch up with this place. New Long Ryder’s album on the way in.  Vaguely thought a coffee might be welcome but cancelled out on the idea, got into work to no chair, Liam next to me had used it, grabbed it back, no headphones, he’d had those too I later dicovered.  Have been allocated a locker which is useful because I’ll stash my stuff when we go away to keep thieving mitts off!

Home and a nip to the shop and then a quick meatballs and beetroot pasta produced.  Was ok.  Pasta was a bit watery.

Still suffering from anxiety and not feeling great.  Think it’s change and getting used to things.

Above Your Head

Above your head

Laundrette on the day off, usual change collection route, cash machine, newsagents, chicken shop and coffee at the Tom and Gerry. Bob back to the house to fetch the laundry and it’s away I go. Soundtracks to Ride’s ‘4 EPs’. Read ‘Keep Music Evil’ as I do the laundry. Follow up with ‘Methodrone’ from The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

C meets me at laundrette and we repair unto the Gerry for a swift drink. Flip flop about eating there and decide against.  Instead sourdough rye and turkey bacon sarnies at home.  Surprisingly tasty!

Next on the agenda a trip to the Turkish Barbers in anticipation of the holiday which begins on Monday next week.

P60 arrives, am feeling really down right now, combo of anxiety and depression not helped by dwelling on a whole heap of shit!  It’s not a great place to be!  Still onwards and upwards and all that bollocks.

C continues to prepare for our jaunt to Scarborough.

Finally getting this place into some semblance of order and beginning to catch up with the photoaday.

Faceless Portrait

A Faceless Portrait

Faceless PortraitSo a trip out to Sainsbury’s this morning for a bit of scran and some clothes for the holiday.  End up with a pair of jeans and buying some trainers via Amazon.  Have to admit, am looking forward to the break.

However first port of call was to pick up the holiday tickets, brief visit to Andy’s All Day Breakfast.  Coffee and a sausage sarnie.  Neither were great, come to the conclusion the place is all fur coat and no knickers.

Feeling down still but is just about manageable.

TV is shite…. so cooking is welcome.  Off to the laundrette tomorrow so this afternoon rounded up the requisite change.

Adventures with beetroot burgers, parsnip, carrot and beetroot chips alongside sweet corn tonight.  Might be ok or could be truly revolting!

Beginning to make headway with this place.

Colour

Colour

Colour

Poxy colour prompt today, always a challenge when trying to deal almost exclusively in monochrome. Thankfully this red man at the crossing benefits from shape in addition to colour as a tool to convey the message!

Luckily it’s still wintery here so was able to wander about in the dark looking for this image.

In other news am keeping busy which is keeping the blues at bay.  My mental health is still a little on the fragile side.  Could do with finding some sort of mood tracker for this place.  Theres a challenge for me.

Musically has been a bit of a good day, new single from Kevin and discover the delights of The Blake Babies courtesy of a link via Bob of the Dentists. Always good to come across new stuff!

Word for 2023

Word for 2023

Word for 2023 Word for 2023, obviously optimism lurks somewhere inside me, or am I trying to hide in plain sight.  Could just be a simple response to a prompt I’m not that keen on.

Hello 2023

Hello

Hello 2023And so 2023 begins.  Serious attempt this year to keep it monochrome.  First prompt of the year is hello, an excuse for a selfie.

Not feeling great at the time tbh, mental health could be better and part of the treatment is to keep to routines and maintain things that in better times I enjoy.

Anyway the visuals of this Hello for 2023 have there origins in the amount of a person that is hidden from public display.  We’re all like icebergs with a hell of a lot that goes on beyond sight! That and it’s a very superficial hello to 2023.

Clearly prepared carefully for it with a far from clean cut image! But what the heck! Hopefully 2023 will be better than 2022 a year that has brought some joy along with a hell of a lot of pain.
